About
Why we exist
Understanding cultural logic is the key to effective engagement. Every failed negotiation, every misfired message, every policy that lands wrong across the Pacific has the same root cause: two cultures reading the same moment through different frameworks — and not knowing it.
Tai-Bridge exists to close that gap. We are a cross-cultural advisory — a collective effort dedicated to teaching the West how to understand Taiwan, and Taiwan how to understand the West. We work with business leaders, policymakers, and professionals on both sides of the Pacific to navigate communication, messaging, and decision-making with clarity.

The founding path
Tai-Bridge grew out of one founder's bicultural path — a perspective the advisory was built to scale beyond one person.
Our founder grew up in Southern California, immersed in Asian American communities from an early age — working in a friend's family Japanese restaurant, tagging along to Taiwanese American Bible study groups — absorbing how different cultural frameworks shape identity, communication, and relationships. In Fremont, one of the largest Taiwanese American enclaves in the U.S., that immersion deepened into a genuinely bicultural lens.
At UC Berkeley he studied Rhetoric — how language and cultural logic shape human understanding — followed by a graduate degree in electronic communications from SFSU, focused on how media and technology shape public discourse. Then years as a field producer working with Silicon Valley executives, and a decade running a digital marketing agency for technology and professional-services clients — crafting messaging, building brand narratives, engaging global audiences.
In 2020 he moved to Taiwan. Living abroad revealed the blind spots in U.S.–Taiwan relations from the other side — both how Americans misunderstand Taiwan, and how Taiwanese interpret the U.S. Tai-Bridge is the answer to what he saw: a practice built on real-world experience, academic grounding, and over a decade of consulting work.
Why this work matters
Culture shapes how we think, communicate, and build relationships. Taiwan sits at the center of the century's defining geopolitical question, and yet the discourse around it — in Washington, in Taipei, in boardrooms on both sides — is full of unexamined assumptions. We exist to examine them.
